Have you ever wondered who’s the biggest superhero moneymaker? Well, even if you haven’t, I’m going to tell you anyway. So, think about it no more because someone else has done the research for both of us.
The story arc and eventual demise aside, Vanquis have calculated which superhero gets to bring the most cash home. To work that out, they took the average salary of the character’s profession in the city they were based. For those residing in the fictional realms, such as Gotham, they observed the average sums in their real-life counterparts that inspired them.
Some you’ll probably guess straight away. Others may surprise you. To be honest I didn’t quite remember what they all did and somehow for people who should probably be laying low quite a few of them seem to work in the media. It must be the long hours and low pay that attracted them, eh 😀
And here it goes… The one who probably the US HMRC equivalent should be after is, of course, none other than Mr Batman himself. By heading Wayne Enterprises he makes £751,566 a year. Superhero and a juicy bank account – yes, please. Not far behind are Tony Stark with £699,205 and Oliver Queen with £679,514.
Now, the two probably living off of pot noodles and beans on toast while the other CEOs are sipping on champagne and munching on caviar, are Ant-Man and Spider-man with their unenviable £14,093 and £14,140 respectively (one being an icecream server at Baskin Robbins and the other a part-time freelance photographer).
Finally, in the neverending battle between Marvel and DC, DC edges ahead with an overall average of £59,695 vs Marvel’s £54,608.
